TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (KUTV) — A man who fled the country following the 2021 murder of his previous girlfriend was recently extradited back to Utah from Mexico City. Officers of the Taylorsville Police Department said that 36-year-old Manuel Omar Burciaga-Perea was transported to the Salt Lake City International Airport by the U.S. Marshals Service Friday evening. Burciaga-Perea was turned over to Taylorsville police upon arriving to the airport and taken to the agency's department where he declined to be interviewed.
